Instrumentation!: Instrumenting application code is an important thing a developer can do to help support a system once it is in production. ‘The cost of instrumentation is negative’ because without it you cannot see where your time and money is going, and therefore cannot control your cloud costs! This session will look at how instrumentation helps to identify code, how it gives context to performance metrics, and how it can be used by the resource manager to map consumer groups to specific processes.
